David Jonathan Palmer

Lighting Designer

David J. Palmer is a lighting designer and student attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and holds a degree from Tulsa Community College in Stage Production/Technology. He is the recipient of the regional 2009 Barbizon Lighting Design Award for his work (with Bryan Johnson) on Fuddy Meers by David Lindsay-Abaire and the 2010 Barbizon Lighting Design Award for his work on Sophocles' Elektra as well as several Kennedy Center Excellence Awards in acting, costume design and lighting design. Most recently, David's work has been seen in UNCSA's productions of La Rondine, August: Osage County and the first ever Cirkus Theatre Project sponsored by the Kenan Institute and Cirque du Soleil. 
On May 4, 2013 David is expected to graduate from UNCSA with a B.F.A. in Lighting and will begin the next chapter of his life in New York City.
